ABOUT

I am a portrait, fashion & event photographer, as well as a skilled retoucher, based in London.

Growing up in west  London, with Polish and Persian roots, I went to St. Benedict’s school in Ealing, and Trinity College, Cambridge to read Economics, before exploring many different paths, and after many twists and turns, I got hooked on  photography in about 2010, a practice which I have always loved.

This coincided with me learning how to dance, jive and swing, which inspired me to start documenting the colourful and vibrant scene I’dbecome a part of. It has since become my long term personal project tophotograph the dancers, DJs, musicians and sharp dressers that make up thevintage scene.

I’m comfortableshooting in a complex studio environment, as well as with lights and props onlocation, but equally in nature and with natural light.

I believe it is my calm, composed and empathetic nature, which invites peopleto comfortably be themselves in front of the camera, and to express themselvesfreely, whilst allowing me to capture them authentically, uniquely andstylishly. A curated soundtrack adds to the relaxed, enjoyable, and creativeatmosphere of my shoots.

And whether I’mshooting fashion, an actor’s headshot or a stylised Old Hollywood styleportrait, it is people that interest and inspire me the most, and to whom I’mdrawn to connecting with and photographing.

In fashion I loveto collaborate creatively with different designers, artists, stylists andmodels, to create something stunning and original.

I’m a skilledretoucher and my style is to keep people looking their natural best.

I have shotweddings and engagement shoots, and photographed families, capturing beautiful candidmoments and elegant posed pictures, all in my own timeless and cinematic style,to tell a stunning story.

I’m also adept at still life photography: From couture hats topaintings and other art works, and products, it is my eye, my attention todetail and my creativity that are my great assets here.

I am constantly refining my practice through personal projects, study, reading, and doing various courses, whether in my specific genres of photographyor further afield, as well as in editing and retouching, so that I can beversed in the latest methods and techniques - all of which I have been doingdiligently for the last 12 years.

I draw my inspirations from contemporary and past portrait, fashion and documentary photographers, including the great Hollywoodportrait photographers of the 1920s-1950s, the Magnum photographers, painterssuch as Rembrandt, from film, and from visits to the V&A to see shows suchas Dior, Kimono or Tim Walker. My love of vintage music, style and dance alsoinform my aesthetic.

I am based in Londonbut can travel to wherever in the world my work requires.
